Nouri is a senior Islamic Republic official(http://atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/iransource/hamid-noury-release-reaction-sweden-iran/) for war crimes in Sweden over his role in mass execution of political prisoners in Iran in the 1980s. He was released from jail and expatriated to Iran in exchange for hostages in June 2024.
