Abtin Shahriari, D.M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Abtin Shahriari is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and public health advocate, born in Iran and raised in the United States. He holds degrees in Biology and Public Health from Emory University and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory. Prior to clinical practice, Dr Shahriari worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and served as a consultant to the World Health Organization on polio eradication efforts in Bihar, India.  He is the founder of Project Global Smile and currently leads Greater Atlanta Oral Facial Surgery, a nationally accredited surgical center.

Dr. Shahriari has been featured in media outlets including NBC, The Atlantan, and the Marietta Daily Journal for his surgical work and humanitarian outreach. As a NUFDI board member, he brings a deep commitment to human rights, healthcare equity, and the advancement of democratic values for the Iranian people.
